The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has issued a Call for Proposals, as per letter of Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara, PCIEERD Executive Director, dated September 14, 2012, to support the national research agenda by funding programs and projects within specified areas in the industry, energy and emerging technologies sectors. The PCIEERD invites you to submit proposals focusing on research under these Thematic Areas of Interest: 1) Sustainable Energy, 2) Appropriate Technologies for Industry Competitiveness, 3) Harnessing Emerging Technologies for National Competitiveness, and 4) Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction.
The implementation of projects will start in CY 2014. Top priority for funding are those research and development (R&D) programs and projects that 1) harness the potential of the emerging technologies, and 2) expand technology development and innovation in the industry and energy sectors.
The PCIEERD accepts proposals from state colleges and universities, government research and development institutes, and non-profit S&T networks and organizations involved in science and technology research and development in the country. Proposals should be submitted to PCIEERD in either written or electronic copy on or before February 4, 2013, 4:00 p.m.
