Quantitative Sciences Symposium 2017

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS), Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics (IMSP), and the Institute of Statistics (InStat) are jointly hosting a Quantitative Sciences Symposium. Themed as “Convergence of minds, promoting interdisciplinary innovations,” this event aims to gather faculty members, REPS and students of UPLB who are using computational, mathematical or statistical techniques in their research. This event will be a great venue to assemble interested parties to share and discuss emerging quantitative researches, and forge future collaborations.

We hope to gather as many participants from the various Colleges as possible. To make this event fruitful, we invited representatives from various Institutes/Colleges (CEAT, CEM, CFNR, SESAM, CAFS, Institute of Chemistry) to present a 15-minute talk about the highlights of their past, present and possibly, future research projects that employ quantitative techniques. There will also be a poster exhibition by ICS, IMSP and InStat. To spark an exchange of ideas among the speakers and the audience, panel discussion and open forum will be conducted (moderated by CDC).

Everyone is invited to attend the event.
