The CVM-VTH-LB Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) provides necropsy service to aid in post-mortem diagnosis. Specific tests such as clinical microscopy (urinalysis and fecal analysis), cytology (FNAB and impression smear characterization), and serology (test kits and ELISA reading) are all offered by ADDL.
Routine water microbial analysis, bacterial isolation and antibiotic sensitivity testing are performed to cater to the need of the community and private institutions. Routine hematology (CBC, platelet count, and blood indexes), and blood chemistry (liver profile, kidney profile, and serum electrolytes) are also done here. Media plates for bacterial isolation and sheep’s blood are prepared upon the request of students, researchers and other institutions.
