UP System REPS Committee meets with UPLB REPS

Around 400 Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) gathered at the Electrical Engineering Auditorium, College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology last 11 September 2018 to attend the Consultation with the UP System REPS Committee.

Themed “Updates on Policy Reforms for Progressive UP REPS Governance” the consultation aimed to be a venue to discuss initiatives, policies, and concerns of the REPS sector. Hon. Francis C. Laurel from the Board of Regents graced the event with his presence as he provided an inspirational message to the participants.

Dr. Patricia B. Arino, Faculty Regent and Chair of the UP System REPS AdHoc Committee shared updates on the committee’s endeavors to review REPS concerns and recommend policies. Meanwhile, Dr. Rex B. Demafelis, Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension of UPLB presented the initiatives for UPLB REPS.

UP Employee Leave Benefits were discussed by Mr. Ricardo Amiel V. Reveche from the UPLB Human Resources and Development Office. The last presenter was Dr. Fidel V. Nemenzo, Vice Chancellor for Research and Development of UP Diliman.

The event ended with closing remarks from Glenn S. Lubuguin, Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, UPLB.
