General Objective: To investigate the occurrence and efficacy of entomopathogenic fungi against whitefly of solanaceous crops as a potential management strategy against this polyphagous and vector of virus diseases. Specific Objectives: 1. To conduct mass rearing studies using natural host plants and select the best host plant for laboratory/ greenhouse rearing, 2. To survey and identify indigenous entomopathogenic fungi infecting whitefly of vegetables, 3. To determine the effective dose of entomopathogenic fungi against whitefly under laboratory condition, and their effect (s) on growth/development, fecundity, and longevity.
