‘UPLB Sweet’ mangosteen has semi-spreading growth habit and bears fruit regularly in July to August. Its fruit is ovate, small and mostly seedless. The flesh, which constitutes 29% of the fruit weight is snowy white, has mild aroma and sweet taste with total soluble solid of 18.65 °Brix. This variety responds very well to cleft grafting using scions of at least 4 monts from flushing. It can also be propagate using seeds.
