PSB Rc 58 Rice
PSB Rc 58, popularly known as ‘Mayapa,’ is an irrigated lowland rice variety released by the National Seed Industry Council in 1997. It has an average yield of 4.9 tons/ha and a maximum yield of 7.3 tons/ha. It matures in 124 days with a height of 96 cm. Its responses to pest and diseases are as follows: moderately susceptible to stemborer; intermediate to brown plant hopper, blast, bacterial blight and green hopper; and susceptible to tungro.
