UPL Cv-6 or ‘Lakan 2’ is an all-purpose cassava variety, suitable for food, starch, and feed production. It has white flesh and pink cortex with fresh root yield of 28.8 tons/ha. It contains 32.5% root dry matter. It is resistant to thrips, spider mites, leaf spot and bacterial blight under field conditions. Harvest maturity is 10 months from planting. It is adapted to all regions of the Philippines.
