UPL Cv-3 or ‘Sultan 1’is an industrial cassava variety, suitable for starch and feed production. It has white flesh and pink cortex with fresh root yield of 56 tons/ha and root dry matter content of 35%. It is resistant to cassava bacterial blight and moderately resistant to leaf spot under field conditions. Harvest maturity is 10 months from planting. This variety is adapted to all regions of the Philippines.
