Sultan 2 Cassava
UPL Cv-5 or ‘Sultan 2’ is an industrial cassava variety, suitable for starch and feed production. It has white flesh and pink cortex with fresh root yield of 29 tons/ha. It contains 39% root dry matter and 28% root starch. It is resistant to spider mites under field conditions. Harvest maturity is 10 months from planting. It is adapted to all regions of the Philippines.
