Sultan 3 Cassava
UPL Cv-7 or ‘Sultan 3’ is an industrial cassava variety, suitable for starch and feed production. It has cream flesh and pink cortex with fresh root yield of 40.3 tons/ha. It contains 34.5% root dry matter and 22.6% root starch. It is moderately resistant to spider mites and leaf spot under field conditions. Harvest maturity is 10 months from planting. It can be planted in all regions of the Philippines.
