UPL Cv-11 or ‘Sultan 5’ is an industrial cassava variety, suitable for starch and feed production. It has white flesh and cream cortex with fresh root yield of 34.2 tons/ha. It contains 35.6% root dry matter and 20.9% root starch. It is moderately resistant to spider mites, leaf spot and bacterial blight under field conditions. Harvest maturity is 10 months after planting. It is adapted to all regions of the Philippines.
