Sto. Niño Cowpea
‘Sto. Niño’ cowpea has spreading growth and flowers 39 days after planting. The pods are harvestable in 46 days during wet season or 48 days during dry season. Picking period lasts for 28 days. The pods are 20.65 cm long, dark green, and with light brown seeds. Average pod yield is 7.56 tons/ha. This variety has high tolerance to fusarium wilt, rust, and mosaic. It has moderate tolerance to aphids and cutworm.
