CGP 18A Garden Pea
‘CGP 18A’ garden pea is a vigorous, indeterminate variety. It has violet flowers that bloom 39 days after planting. Pods can be harvested after 11 days from flowering. Pods are dark green, about 8.94 cm long with an average fresh pod yield of 7.58 tons/ha. Plants exhibit partial pod doubling. ‘CGP 18A’ is a semi-temperate variety that thrives well under the mid and high elevation areas, but can be planted in the low elevation areas during the months of Novemeber to February. This variety is resistant to powdery mildew, fusarium wilt, green pea aphids, and leaf miner.
