Mussaenda 'Doña Evangelina'

Mussaenda ‘Doña Evangelina’ has shoots abundantly clothed with red hairs; calyx lobes all petaloid, ovate-elliptic to oblong; above, solid red to currant red, rarely with slight pink color breaks, hairy; below, greenish-pink to white; drooping, limp after anthesis. It is the most difficult to propagate among the hybrids. The variety is named after the wife of former President Diosdado Macapagal.
