‘Doña Paciencia’ has calyx lobes all petaloid, with 1-2 larger than the rest, lancelolate to ovate-elliptic; above, its color is finely and densely mottled empire rose with white or red streaks later fading to brownish or bleached pink; after anthesis, slightly curled. It is the most conspicuously mottled among the hybrids. It is named after the wife of late speaker Jose P. Laurel who acted as President when President Manuel L. Quezon was in Australia during the war.
