Rice as porridge or lugaw, traditionally fed to babies, was enriched with 12% reconstituted skimmed milk and fresh milk to improve its protein content. The developed weaning food was superior to the commercial brands in terms of protein content. It is a low-cost, nutritious weaning food for infants.
