Cladosporium fulvum is a fungi which can parasitize other fungi, thus, having good potential as a biological control agent. It can be used to control the growth of fungus on smoked herring or sardines. Treating the smoked sardines with 100% C. fulvum growth retards the growth of fungus up to seven days.
