The UPLB hand tractor with steering clutch and mechanism is a single, pull-type machine with spill-type axle. It is simple in design, affordable, and can be fabricated by ordinary machine shops using locally available materials. It can be operated by one person. It is durable and can be operated in stony field conditions. It is easy to maneuver by use of its steering mechanism. It measures 205 x 104.5 x 100 cm (LWH) and weighs 141 kg without the engine. For its power transmission, it uses a belt, pulley, chain, and sprocket run by a 7.46 kW (10 hp) engine. A single-bottom moldboard plow can be attached to the machine.
