Improved Rooting Performance of ‘Tsaang Gubat’
‘Tsaang Gubat’ is one of the hardest medicinal plants to propagate because its seeds are covered with a very hard seed coat and its basal mature stem cuttings have low percent rooting (30-50%). This production technology involves the use of growth regulator Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) at 2000 ppm to improve the rooting performance of terminal softwood cuttings allowed to root in a mist bed. With the technology, planting materials can be made available to farmers who want to go into raw materials production.
