Roving Coconut Husk Decorticator
The roving coconut husk decorticator was developed by utilizing the existing features of stationary decorticators, and then modified by mounting it to a truck chassis and later to a trailer, so that the machine can be mobile. The decorticator is powered by the truck’s engine and its normal production capacity is 1 metric ton fiber and 2 tons coir dust in an 8-hour operation. It requires 4-5 persons to operate. It has a special auger expeller built under the machine to collect the dusts in sacks or bags. With the mobile decorticator, husks from far areas can be directly processed into coconut fiber which are very much in demand both in the local and world market.
