Focus and Scope

The Journal of Human Ecology is a biannual scholastic publication of the College of Human Ecology (CHE) in the University of the Philippines Los Ba˜nos (UPLB). This peer-reviewed journal publishes original research focusing on the development of theory and practice in the Philippines and in the international setting as well. The Journal of Human Ecology aims to publish interdisciplinary research on all aspects of human-environment interactions, community development, and other fields of social science that links with the people, organizations, and governments to achieve human-ecological security.

Peer Review Process

The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions of the article to make it suitable for publication. An electronic mail will be sent to the authors to confirm the receipt of manuscripts within 30 days upon receipt of the files.

Upon submission of the journal article, it is agreed upon that the article, including the visuals (figures, photographs, illustrations), are original unpublished work and has not been submitted for consideration in other publications.

All submissions will be sent anonymously to the two reviewers. The publication is intended for an international readership. Authors are requested to avoid jargons and acronyms that cannot be understood by the international audience.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides access to its abstracts on the principle that making this information freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
