The UPLB Journals Online (https://ovcre.uplb.edu.ph/journals-uplb/index.php/PJABE/about) is the repository of the published manuscripts of the Philippine Journal of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (PJABE). The portal uses the Open Journal System (OJS) and is hosted by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).  The PJABE webpage has been existing since 2018 on the website of its publisher - the Center for Agri-Fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH), College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT), UPLB.  In 2024, the PJABE webpage was migrated to its new website (https://pjabe.uplb.edu.ph). The designated online ISSN of PJABE is 3082-3447, while its print ISSN is 0119-7312.

PJABE is an open-access double-blind refereed journal written in the English language. It is published, managed, and funded by the BIOMECH (formerly the Agricultural Mechanization Development Program, or AMDP), CEAT, UPLB (https://biomech.uplb.edu.ph/). The first PJABE volume was published in 1999.  

PJABE was organized and established in 1997 by BIOMECH, CEAT, UPLB, and it takes pride that PJABE as first refereed journal in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering in the Philippines then. It was recognized by the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) in the Philippines as one of the Accredited Research Journals (Batch 1) for 2009-2012 under Category B per CHED Memorandum Order No. 09, Series of 2010.

Starting 2019, the PJABE has been regularly publishing semi-annually (every June and December of the year). The PJABE issues are disseminated both in printed form,  and online form through its webpage then at https://biomech.uplb.edu.ph/pjabe/ and now in its new website https://pjabe.uplb.edu.ph.  Publication of the manuscripts in PJABE is free of charge. 

BIOMECH became a member of the Crossref Organization in 2020 for the acquisition of the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for PJABE manuscripts.  BIOMECH has assigned DOI to PJABE manuscripts starting from PJABE Vol. 16, No. 1, June 2020 Issue and onwards.  

Copies of full manuscripts from   Vol. 13, 2017 Issue and onwards can be downloaded free of charge from the PJABE website (https://pjabe.uplb.edu.ph), and UPLB Journals Online.  Electronic and printed copies of all PJABE Volumes are maintained by BIOMECH, CEAT, UPLB.
