‘RCF Gold’ is an abiu variety, the seed of which was introduced from Queensland, Australia in 1987. A tree that grows from a seedling bears fruits in 3-4 years, while a tree from a grafted tree bears fruits in 2-3 years.
The mother tree is vigorous and erect with spreading branches. The tree bears fruit yearly that measures 8.6 cm long and 8.2 cm in diameter. The ripe fruit has a bright yellow skin and is smooth, shiny and moderately thick (0.3 cm). The flesh is translucent white, juicy, mildly aromatic, sweet and 63.4% of the whole fruit by weight. There are 1-3 large, black seeds in a fruit.
