IPB Var 1 or ‘Ginintuan’ is an orange-yellow flint open-pollinated corn variety. It is suitable for feeds and also used for other industrial purposes. It has an average grain yield of 4.55 tons/ha (dry season planting) and 4.08 tons/ha (wet season planting). Harvest maturity is 105 days. It is moderately resistant to downy mildew. It can be planted in all regions of the country.
