‘Pag-asa 1’ mungbean has dark green seeds that matures in 58 days after emergence. It produces pods exposed above leaf canopy that allows more effective pest control measures and harvesting. It has a seed yield of 1 ton/ha during the dry season and 1.3 tons/ha during the wet season. Seeds contain 22.84% protein, 57% carbohydrates, and 31.22% starch. This variety is recommended for wet and dry season planting.
