CCD-8 Cowpea
‘CCD-8’ cowpea flowers 38 days during the dry season and 37 days during the wet season after planting. Harvesting starts at 45-47 days from planting and picking period could last for 27 days. It has dark green pods, 22.02 cm long and has a pod yield of 8.30-8.45 tons/ha. It is resistant to fusarium, rust and mosaic. It has moderate tolerance to aphids, pod borer, and cutworm.
