HAB 63 Bush Snapbean
‘Hab 63’ is a bush variety with hardy stem. Flowers are dark pink. Pods are green, straight, smooth, stringless, and have good eating quality. Pods are 14.28 cm long, 1.20 cm in diameter and are black-seeded, which is generally preferred by farmers. ‘Hab 63’ performs well in low, mid and high elevation areas. Harvesting starts 50 days from planting. Average fresh pod yield is 9.35 tons/ha in La Trinidad, Benguet; 10.22 tons/ha in Iguig, Cagayan; and 11.4 tons/ha in Sto. Niño, Cagayan. It is resistant to sclerotium wilt and highly resistant to bean rust.
