Non-Conventional Pelletizer
The non-conventional pelletizer can be built using locally available and cheap materials. It uses the force of its screw feeder which is mounted below its feed hopper to move the ingredients to the die assembly. A pair of rollers rotates around the die, which forces ingredients to form pellets of desired sizes. A rotating cutter mounted on the main shaft of the screw feeder cuts the pellets. Desired lengths are achieved by adjusting the distance of the cutting blade from the surface of the die. This utility model lowers the cost of the machinery of the whole feed milling system by using raw water as the conditioner, thus eliminating the use of the expensive boiler system to condition the ingredients. It also combines the ingredient conditioner and pelletizer so as to enable simultaneous processing.
