The fractionation column is designed to produce cocodiesel and high purity methyl esters from the mixture of methyl esters produced by the esterification of coconut oil. The technology provides the opportunity to gain expertise in the design and fabrication of standard chemical process equipment. The design and operating procedures and parameters which could be established through technology development is valuable in scaling-up the technology for commercial scale.
