Antimicrobial susceptibility profiles and detection of colistin resistance mcr-1 gene in Salmonella enterica isolates from chicken eggs in Metro Manila, Philippines
The antimicrobial susceptibility profiles of 13 Salmonella enterica isolated from chicken eggs from various areas of Metro Manila, Philippines were determined. Data obtained in this study may serve as a guide for poultry clinicians and farm owners in their selection of effective antimicrobials against Salmonella and formulation of more effective control programs against Salmonella infection in layer chickens.
