All UPLB Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) are encouraged to submit applications to the UPLB Scientific Career Evaluation System (SCES) Committee, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension until 28 April 2023.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) is now accepting research proposals for funding under the Enhanced Creative Works and Research Grant (ECWRG).

The ECWRG Program aims to encourage faculty (from Instructor 4 to Professor) and REPS to undertake research that will lead to publications, exhibitions or performances of creative work or other significant output such as patents, new software, and advanced technologies. To ensure the quality of output, publication or exhibition will be required prior to the full release of the grant, depending on whether the grant is for research or creative work.

All proposals shall be subjected to technical and administrative review by OVCRE prior to submission to OVPAA. Deadline of submission to OVCRE is on 15 February 2023.

To honor UPLB faculty and staff demonstrating excellence in research, extension, and creative arts, a special recognition in the form of the 2023 Outstanding Researcher and Research/Team Awards; the 2023 UPLB Outstanding Extension Personnel and Extension Program/Project Awards; and the 2023 UPLB Outstanding Artist Award.

The deadline of submission for the nomination form and other attachments is extended until 24 January 2023, 11:59 p.m. Please download the forms here.

In light of the recent damages and disruption caused by Typhoon Paeng, the deadline of submission of the REPS Service Records (RSR) for the July to December 2022 rating period is extended until 14 November 2022.

The UP System is now calling for applications to the UP Scientific Productivity System for CY 2022.

Please note that UPLB will no longer evaluate and rate the applications at our level. The evaluation of applications will be done only by the System Committee. However, the CUs are tasked to verify that the applicants have met the minimum requirements for eligibility (e.g. employment status, doctoral degree, minimum years of productivity, etc.) and to ensure that applications are complete.
