Call for Applications: The Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award 2023

The Hitachi Global Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2023 Asia Innovation Award from 3 April to 30 June 2023. Awardees will be receiving plaque, certificates, and cash prizes allocated as follows:

  1. Best Innovation Award – JPY 3,000,000
  2. Outstanding Innovation Award – JPY 1,000,000
  3. Encouragement Award – Approx. JPY 500,000

Launched in 2020, the Asia Innovation Award is aimed at promoting science, technology and innovation that helps solve social issues and realize a sustainable society in the ASEAN region. This award recognizes individuals and groups whose outstanding achievements in R&D in the fields of science and technology have positively served public interests.

The award-giving body will be accepting the top five (5) applications from UPLB this year that are aligned with SDGs 1 (No Poverty) and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).

In this regard, we are encouraging all UPLB faculty, REPS, and students to submit their applications as individuals or as groups, subject to the evaluation and endorsement of OVCRE.   2. 5-minute R&D Introduction Video
  3. At least one (1) published research paper as attachment of evidence on achievement in R&D

  5. Recommendation Letter written and signed by your Unit Head

CVM Veterinary Teaching Hospital - Los Baños Station

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital [VTH] is registered with the Bureau of Animal Industry, Department of Agriculture in compliance with the RA No. 8485 “The Animal Welfare Act of 1998”. The VTH provides diagnostic imaging services as part of the diagnostic aids during an attendance to veterinary patients and for research purposes. Available imaging services are radiography (a.k.a. X-ray), ultrasonography echocardiography (EKG), abdominal ultrasonography and electrocardiography (ECG).
