CAFS-IFST Pilot Plant

The FSC Pilot Plant offers venue for instructional purposes where the students are familiarized with some basic food processing equipment which they may encounter in the industry. Also, the Pilot Plant’s facilities are used for the unit’s researches on food processing. Likewise, it offers micro-scale food-related services like canning and food drying and other toll processes.

CDC-DZLB Radio / TV Production Booth

The DZLB as a development broadcasting facility is the University’s extension arm and medium within the CALABARZON. It is also the laboratory for students taking up community broadcasting courses. It also serves as digital recording studio and capable of streaming live video and audio over the web given an appropriate Internet bandwidth.

CEAT Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center

AMTEC conducts laboratory and field tests to verify machine specifications, performance quality of manufacturers, and the suitability of the machines to local farming conditions. It iis the official testing and evaluation arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA). All agriculture and fisheries machinery to be acquired under the various programs and projects of the DA shall pass through testing by the AMTEC. AMTEC, in partnership with the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers (PSAE) and concerned DA agencies, is also charged with the formulation and development of the official agriculture and fisheries machinery standards of the Philippines.

CEAT-CE Innovative Engineering Materials Laboratory

In the INEM Laboratory, several tests for concrete can be done: strength (compressive and split- tensile), slump tests and chloride concentration and impressed voltage tests. Tensile and corrosion tests for steel bars can also be done. Several tests for fine and coarse aggregates can also be conducted including mechanical sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, moisture content, unit weight, Proctor, permeability and in-situ soil density.

CEAT-EE Instrumentation Section

The Instrumentation Section of the Department of Electrical Engineering specializes in the repair of equipment for the University. The staff are trained to inspect, identify, and repair defects and restore the equipment to their proper working condition. In the future, a Calibration Center will be included as additional function of the unit.

CVM-VTH-LB Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory

The CVM-VTH-LB Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) provides necropsy service to aid in post-mortem diagnosis. Specific tests such as clinical microscopy (urinalysis and fecal analysis), cytology (FNAB and impression smear characterization), and serology (test kits and ELISA reading) are all offered by ADDL.

Routine water microbial analysis, bacterial isolation and antibiotic sensitivity testing are performed to cater to the need of the community and private institutions. Routine hematology (CBC, platelet count, and blood indexes), and blood chemistry (liver profile, kidney profile, and serum electrolytes) are also done here. Media plates for bacterial isolation and sheep’s blood are prepared upon the request of students, researchers and other institutions.
